“Between Flesh and Eternity”
Size: 110 × 150 cm
Year: 2025

The painting is created in a large format. At the center of the composition is a hand, depicted from the outer side of the palm, yet endowed with human features. This is intentional: hands reflect who we are.

Our hands tell more about us than words ever could. They carry our genetics, chosen or imposed life paths, and reflect how we see ourselves at different ages, in different states, and through varying tastes and styles.

The lines on the hands speak of life force and what is given to us by fate. Life lines change as the person changes. Fingerprints are unique and unrepeatable — just like every human story.

Scars, burns, calluses — these are traces of experience. They reveal much more about us than we are willing to share.
Manicure or its absence, jewelry or luxury accessories, the roughness or softness of hands — all this reflects our lifestyle, status, choices, or circumstances. Even the dryness or moisture of the skin is a testimony to internal states — hormonal, physical, or life conditions.

But most importantly, what we create with these hands matters. We can heal or harm, create or destroy, give love or inflict pain. Hands are the instrument through which we interact with the world.

In the background, stretched skin is depicted — a reminder that we all consist of flesh and blood. Our creations may be eternal, but we are mortal. We can leave life behind — through children, through passed-down crafts, or through trees we plant that will grow long after us.

The background is filled with eyes of various sizes, symbolizing society. Regardless of how we see ourselves or what we give to the world, everyone perceives us differently. In some eyes we are great, in others beautiful; to some, we are small and insignificant. Sometimes we grow, sometimes we fall. This is the energy of the world — mutable, just like humanity itself.

The silhouettes of people in the background represent the genetics of the lineage. The blend of bodies, meanings, and destinies forms who we are. These are fragments of those who passed on habits, emotions, and love — conscious and unconscious. Every thought and action may not be entirely our own — in them lives the character of our mother, father, or grandmother.

Skin color, faith, psyche, and genetics are echoes of the past. But every person has a lifetime to accept themselves and become who they choose to be.
Because a person is the product of their own choice.

You are what you create.
